President Donald J. Trump Announces Judicial Nominee
 
Today, President Donald J. Trump announced his intent to nominate:

Stephen A. Kubiatowski, of Kentucky, to serve as Judge on the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Stephen Kubiatowski is a Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Kindred Healthcare, where he oversees the company’s litigation, investigation, and regulatory portfolios.  Mr. Kubiatowski was previously a Partner in the Chicago, Illinois, and Washington, D.C., offices of Faegre Baker Daniels, LLP (now Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP).  Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Mr. Kubiatowski devoted 20 years to public service, serving as the White Collar Crime and Health Care Fraud Coordinator at the United States Department of Justice, an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, and in the Office of Independent Counsel.  Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Kubiatowski served as a law clerk to Judge Michael Kanne of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.  Mr. Kubiatowski earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Dartmouth University, and his J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Transnational Law.
