“Payroll growth rebounded sharply in June as the U.S. economy added 224,000 jobs, the best gain since January,” Jeff Cox reports for CNBC. The economy beat expectations once again as experts predicted job growth of only 165,000. The unemployment rate of 3.7 percent remains at “near 50-year lows.”
President Trump’s 4th of July address took the tradition “to new heights on Thursday. Democrats complained before the speech that Trump was politicizing the Fourth of July. The campaign, centered around a new webpage, features personal stories from cattle and beef producers across the country who want Congress to ratify the USMCA as quickly as possible,” Southeast AgNet reports.
At the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Senior Advisor Ivanka Trump spoke at this year’s G20 Summit, bringing women’s economic issues to the forefront of the discussion, Amy Kremer writes in Townhall. “As a champion for global equality for women, Ivanka insisted that initiatives to stimulate female economic empowerment be ‘at the very heart of the G20 agenda.’”
