First Lady Melania Trump to Deliver Remarks at the 2020 International Women of Courage Awards Ceremony

In recognition of Women’s History Month, the Office of the First Lady announces Mrs. Trump’s participation in the 2020 International Women of Courage Awards with Secretary of State Michael Pompeo.

This will be the fourth year Mrs. Trump has participated the International Women of Courage (IWOC) Awards. She will return this year to deliver remarks and participate in presenting the IWOC Awards to a remarkable group of women from around the world.

Over the last 13 years, the IWOC Award has honored more than 130 women from more than 70 different countries.  It is the State Department’s only all-female award and it serves as an opportunity to recognize women around the globe who have demonstrated exceptional courage and leadership.

The names and bios of the recipients of the 2020 awards will be announced by the US Department of State on or about March 2nd.
