NEW: President Trump proclaims ‘Made in America’ Week!

Each year, President Trump welcomes businesses to the White House from every American state to display their goods at the Made in America Showcase.

“Buy American, Hire American” is more than a motto for President Trump. It is the strategy that has driven his entire Administration’s economic agenda. His Proclamation on Made in America Day and Made in America Week 2020 reads, in part:

For too long, politicians failed to recognize the critical importance of using American labor to make American goods, so that the profits and jobs stay here at home. They enabled American companies to ship their jobs overseas and sat by while foreign companies ripped off our products . . .

Fifty U.S. companies were invited to take part in this year’s Made in America Showcase. While unable to come together in person this year, many of these great businesses shared videos online explaining the importance of “Made in America!”

🎬 Goya Foods: Started by an immigrant to live the American Dream!

“Goya was started nearly 85 years ago by my grandfather, who came to the country as an immigrant to live and fulfill the American Dream,” Goya Foods CEO Robert Unanue said. “And we have fulfilled that dream.”

Another company, Mountain Ridge Gear of Colorado, shared its passion for using American-sourced materials for its products. “As long as this company exists, we will use American-made products to build our gear,” owner Eric Lynn said.

🎬 Mountain Ridge Gear: A veteran-owned, family-run business!

Kan Jam—a gaming business based in Buffalo, New York—“is proud to be Made in America,” the company tweeted. “Thank you to the current administration for creating an environment conducive for American based manufacturing!”

In every state, small and large businesses such as these are putting patriotism first and contributing to our nation’s Great American Comeback under President Trump.

“The President extends his sincere appreciation to the companies that planned to attend this year’s event at the White House,” Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement. “He is incredibly proud of their grit, ingenuity, and use of American labor to manufacture exceptional products in the homeland.”

President Trump says “Made in America” isn’t a slogan. It is a solemn pledge.

“On every front, my Administration will continue to fight for American workers, American jobs, and American businesses to ensure prosperity today and for America’s future generations.”
